Is there more Big Walk coming? No DLC, and what to do instead
House House said in an August 2026 AMA that there are no post-launch content plans. Here is what that actually means for your group, and what the studio suggested doing with the island instead.

Quick answer
No. In a Reddit AMA on 13 August 2026 House House said there are no content plans, and that they need a rest before thinking about what is next. There is no DLC, no roadmap and no announced sequel. What they did suggest is making your own games in the world — they mentioned playing hide and seek among themselves — and the island has enough left in it for that: the purple puzzles, the second ending, and a completely different run with a different group size.

What House House actually said
The question came up in a Reddit AMA on 13 August 2026, nine days after launch. The studio's answer was short and did not leave much room for interpretation: no content plans.
On the game's future they were equally direct — getting this far took heaps of work and a long time, and they need a good rest before thinking about what comes next. That is not a refusal to ever make more; it is a studio that has just shipped saying it has not decided anything.
So treat any site telling you a roadmap exists, or that DLC is coming, as invention. As of today there is no announcement to point at, and this page will say so until there is one.
The studio's own suggestion: make your own games
The interesting half of the answer is what they said instead. They mentioned having great success playing hide and seek among themselves, and hoped the game world is generous enough for players to make their own games within it.
That is worth taking seriously rather than reading as a brush-off. Big Walk already gives a group everything a playground game needs: a large handcrafted island, proximity voice that falls away with distance, radios for coordinating at range, binoculars for spotting, and flares for signalling.
- Hide and seek — the one the developers named. Proximity voice does the work: you hear the seeker before you see them.
- Races to a landmark, using only the compass and no map, so the navigation is the challenge
- A blind run where one player has the map and never moves, directing everyone by radio
- Silent night — no voice at all, gestures and laser pointers only
What is actually left in the game
Before inventing games, check whether you have finished the ones already there. Most groups have not: Steam's own numbers say only about 9.9% of owners have gone beyond the wall, and 1.9% have the completion achievement.
After the main ending there are seven purple puzzles that only appear then, plus the remaining collectibles and the route to the second ending. That is a real chunk of designed content that most players who ask 'is there more' have not actually reached.
A second run with a different group size is closer to new content than it sounds, too. The host picks a 2-player, 3-player or 4-plus version of the world at the start, and that choice changes which puzzles the group meets.
Could this change?
Possibly. The studio said it has not decided, not that it never will, and Big Walk sold a million copies in its first six days — a commercial result that does not usually end a conversation.
What we will do is keep this page dated. If an announcement arrives, this page changes and says when. Until then the honest answer is the one the developers gave: they do not know yet either.
Frequently asked
Is there DLC for Big Walk?
No. House House said in an August 2026 AMA that there are no post-launch content plans, and nothing has been announced since.
Will there be a Big Walk 2?
Nothing has been announced. The studio said it needs a rest before thinking about what is next, which is a statement about not having decided rather than a no.
What do you do after finishing Big Walk?
Finish what is left first — the seven purple puzzles and the second ending, which most players never reach. After that, the developers' own suggestion is to invent games in the world; they play hide and seek in it.
Is Big Walk worth replaying?
A second run at a different group size meets different puzzles, because the host picks a 2, 3 or 4-plus player world at the start. That is the closest thing to new content the game has.
Are there any planned updates?
None announced. The only post-release patch so far is version 1.4.8 on 7 August 2026, which fixed quiet voices.
