Is Big Walk on Xbox or Game Pass? No — and here is the mix-up

There is no Xbox version at all

Game Pass is downstream of a much simpler fact: the game does not exist on Xbox. The official platform list covers Steam on Windows and Mac, a separate Mac App Store release, PlayStation 5 and Switch 2, and nothing else.

So there is no edition to subscribe to, buy, or wait for a sale on. If a site is showing you an Xbox store link for Big Walk, it is not selling you this game.

Where the Game Pass idea comes from

Big Walk did launch into a subscription service. It was part of the PlayStation Plus monthly games for August 2026, alongside Dying Light 2 and Signalis, claimable from 4 August.

That is how the question spreads: someone hears the game is free with a subscription, remembers only the shape of it, and repeats it as Game Pass. Both halves of that sentence are wrong for Xbox owners and right for PS5 owners.

It is also worth knowing that a monthly-lineup claim window closes. If you are reading this well after August 2026, the free-with-subscription part may no longer apply even on PlayStation.

Will it come to Xbox later?

Nobody has said. House House has announced no ports, and in an August 2026 AMA said they have no content plans and need a rest before deciding what is next. That is a studio with nothing scheduled, not a studio ruling anything out.

If Xbox is the only console you own

The realistic route is PC. Big Walk asks for relatively modest hardware — Windows 10 with a GTX 750 Ti class card and 12 GB of RAM as the minimum — so a laptop that is not a gaming machine may still manage it at reduced settings.

Crossplay covers Steam, PS5 and Switch 2, so buying on PC does not cut you off from friends on the consoles that do have it. Mixed-platform groups join by sharing a Join Code rather than through a friends list.
