Big Walk Green Tower: puzzles and chairlift
Solve the Big Walk Green Tower route, including the green flare and light puzzles, shape the blank key, activate the chairlift and unlock Big Sit.

Quick answer
Complete five challenges around the Green Tower and place their rewards in its five slots. Take the blank green key that appears, run it through every marked key cutter, then use the finished key at the chairlift station. The nearby Green Flare challenge needs one player to launch the flare while another follows the coast to the hidden box; the light-memory challenge is safest when the observer records red positions before anyone moves.

Where to find the Green Tower
The Green Tower stands on the eastern cliff side of the island, with the chairlift machinery close enough that the two landmarks read as one objective. If the group has the Map Room open, use its model to identify the unfinished cluster before crossing the island.
Do not confuse the tower with the green completion structure used much later for the 100% route. This tower has five reward slots and produces the key that starts the chairlift sequence.
Bring five rewards to the Green Tower
Community walkthroughs report that the tower accepts five eligible rewards from the surrounding puzzle cluster. Place one in each slot and use the tower itself as the count; remembering five rooms is not the same as delivering five rewards.
The exact jobs inside a challenge can adapt to the host’s 2-player, 3-player or 4-plus world. Keep one person as observer, let one operator change a single input at a time, and make sure somebody carries the released reward back before the party scatters.
- Check the Map Room for nearby markers without blue flags.
- A sideways reward is already solved and only needs delivery.
- Count filled Green Tower slots after every return trip.
- Use challenge skipping only when the host has enabled it in accessibility settings.
How the Big Walk Green Flare puzzle works
The Green Flare puzzle separates the signal from the destination. One player stays at the launcher and fires the flare; another watches where it falls, follows the shoreline and searches that landing area for the hidden box. The useful clue is the arc of the flare, not the direction the launcher faces.
If the searcher loses the signal, fire again only after they stop moving and can watch the full arc. Community guides place this challenge around map coordinates 3660, 2040, but the visible coastline and launcher are better landmarks than a number if your group has not collected the map or GPS yet.
- Put the searcher on open shoreline before launching.
- Call left or right relative to the coast, not relative to the launcher.
- Mark the last visible landing point before walking toward it.
- Bring the released reward back to the tower instead of leaving it at the box.
Solve the green and red light memory puzzle
This arena punishes movement before observation. The lamps briefly reveal which positions are safe and which reset the attempt, then the active player has to cross from memory while a teammate guides them.
Record the red positions rather than trying to remember every green one. Divide the floor into rows, agree which end is row one, and call one move at a time. If the layout resets, stop and rebuild the grid instead of continuing with half of the previous pattern.
Shape the blank green key at every cutter
Filling all five slots releases a blank green key. Like the Red Tower key, its first form is not ready for the lock. Follow the marked route and insert it into every key-cutting station until the sequence points back toward the chairlift.
A key that has changed shape can still be incomplete. If the chairlift control rejects it, retrace the cutter route from the last station the group can positively identify. Re-solving the five challenges will not fix a missed cutter.
Activate the chairlift and unlock Big Sit
Use the finished key at the chairlift station to power the route. Board together if the party intends to continue toward the far ridge; the lift is both a progression unlock and a permanent shortcut across the island.
Taking the ride unlocks Big Sit. More importantly, this route later becomes the cleanest way to reach the ridge associated with the seven purple post-game challenges, so opening it now saves a difficult climb after the first ending.
Green Tower troubleshooting
Check the route in a fixed order: five filled slots, blank key collected, every cutter used, correct chairlift control. Most apparent bugs are a reward left beside a solved puzzle or one skipped cutting station.
- No key appeared — inspect all five tower slots and nearby dropped rewards.
- Key looks plain — begin the marked cutter route.
- Chairlift rejects the key — repeat the cutter sequence.
- Chairlift works but Big Sit did not unlock — board and complete the ride.

Hint: the green key is only the startShow a hint
After the fifth reward, watch the route markers around the key. The chairlift does not accept the first shape you collect.
Full Green Tower and chairlift routeShow the full solution
Complete five nearby challenges, including the flare and light-memory routes if they are unfinished in your world, and place five rewards in the Green Tower. Take the blank green key through every marked cutter, use the finished key at the chairlift station, then board the lift to unlock Big Sit and open the shortcut to the far ridge.
Frequently asked
How do you complete the Green Tower in Big Walk?
Deliver five puzzle rewards to its slots, collect the blank green key, use every marked key cutter and take the finished key to the chairlift station.
How many Green Tower puzzles are there?
The tower needs five rewards. Exact puzzle roles can vary with the host’s world-size setting, so count filled slots and Map Room states rather than relying only on room names.
How do you solve the Big Walk Green Flare puzzle?
One player fires the flare while another watches its full arc, follows the coastline to the landing area and searches there for the hidden box.
How do you solve the Big Walk light puzzle?
Agree on row direction, record the red reset positions while they are visible and guide the moving player one safe step at a time.
Why will the green key not activate the chairlift?
The tower releases an unfinished key. Follow the marked route and use every cutter; a partly shaped key can look complete while still being rejected.
What does the Green Tower unlock?
It activates the chairlift. Riding it unlocks Big Sit and creates the easiest later route toward the far ridge and purple post-game puzzles.
